The 500+
I am constantly discovering new artists via the web and in person (at events like ICON6, or TCAF), and over the years have collected a vast number of websites. A few years back, my bookmarks folder was overflowing with links, and what started out as the “200+ project” has ballooned into more than five hundred artist links! The list knows no national boundaries, and shares a common language – the image.
Some sites advertise the work of seasoned professionals, while others are the galleries of students or hobbyists. Regardless of the artists’ stature, they have all inspired me in one way or another; through their body of work, their determination, and/or their dedication to their art.
The 500+ list (which has now grown to over six hundred links) was getting a but difficult to manage from within this blog; so I’ve migrated all the links to Delicious, which I am now using solely to collect artists’ sites.
I’ve started adding some general tags to the links, but it’s an arduous process and will take me a long time to get through the whole thing. The good news is that the list will be easier to update!

I was looking through these a little while ago, and I found one artist I really REALLY liked. Of course I forgot to bookmark it and I was wondering if you could tell me the name of him. I’m pretty sure it was a him, I think it was a japanese name and his style was somewhat similar to Chiho Aoshima, only more in browns and a little more intricate. If you have any ideas could you email me back? Thank you Very much.
